Head of Artist Training

Melanie Waldheim has been working at the Berlin Career College/Central Institute for Continuing Education and Transfer (ZIWT) since September 2015 and heads the Artist Training for Artists at Risk. She is also deputy part-time women's representative, a member of the ZIWT Institute Council and deputy chair of the Equal Opportunities Commission.

Previously, she was editor for various publications such as catalog brochures, the art calendar of Berlin galleries and its online portal at the Landesverband Berliner Galerien (lvbg). She also managed the Comic Connection project for refugees and Berlin artists for the international literature festival berlin (ilb), moderated events in international children's and youth literature and organized funding. Her professional basis is a dissertation in the field of German studies / art history on art descriptions in exhibition spaces around 1800 at the FU Berlin as well as a postgraduate degree in cultural management.
