Dr. Michaela Conen

Since 2022, Dr. Michaela Conen has been the head of the Strategic Marketing Department at the UdK Berlin.

She is in charge of strategic marketing in close coordination with the university president. The tasks include strategic marketing management, responsibility for goal achievement, and the development of a continuous marketing strategy across all channels. She is in charge of supporting and further developing the corporate branding and design.

She also works on campaigns and implements collaborations. From 2016 to 2022, Dr. Conen served as the Head of the Marketing and University Events Department at the University of Berlin. In 2022, the University Events Department area was transferred to a separate Department with the new name "Superfaculty Events."

She is a cultural and media manager who obtained her doctorate in strategic management in museums at the KMM Institute of the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre. Additionally, she possesses extensive experience in the field of cultural and media management.

Since 2023, she has been on the Advisory Board of Partner für Berlin Holding mbH for Capital City Marketing. The Advisory Board supports and advises on the coordination of the marketing activities of the City of Berlin.

In 2021, the Berlin Partner Network founded the initiative "Berlin against Anti-Semitism" and she is a member of the Advisory Board. The initiative implements both sustainable, in-house measures and high-profile campaigns to raise awareness of the issue of anti-Semitism among workforces, organizations and society. The result should be an increased mindfulness of discrimination that removes the breeding ground for anti-Semitism.

Previously, she worked at the Federal Agency for Civic Education in the events department of the capital city coordination office at the Berlin location. There she developed cultural and political event formats as well as their marketing and communication strategies.

As head of the Corporate Performance Management Department at the Jewish Museum Berlin, she advised the management on strategic issues.

She also works as a freelance consultant and specializes in cultural consulting.
