Dr. Ulrike Prechtl-Fröhlich

Ulrike Prechtl-Fröhlich studied German Literature and Linguistics as well as Psychology and earned a doctorate at the University of Augsburg in German Literature. Starting her professional life she worked at the University as well as in the field of publishing, press and public relations. Since 2003, Ulrike Prechtl-Fröhlich has been working in the University management, initially for the Executive Board of the Free University of Berlin.
In 2010, she moved to the University of Hamburg, one of Germany's largest comprehensive universities with around 40,000 students. As head of the President's Staff Group, she  developed strategic processes at the University of Hamburg before taking over as Head of Human Resources at the University of Hamburg in 2014, with responsibility for HR work for 5,500 employees in science, administration, technology and libraries.
Dr. Ulrike Prechtl-Fröhlich has been Director of Finance and Administration of the Berlin University of the Arts since June 2017.
She has been trained as mediator and coach.
