Kerstin Ergenzinger and Kiran Kumar, fellows of the Graduate School at BAS, and Bnaya Halperin-Kaddari, associate at BAS, are offering a workshop in the context of the Studium Generale program of the University of Arts.

“Our idea is to experiment with different forms of concentrated movement and improvisation – both spatially and sonically – by bringing our different practices together in one place. Kerstin Ergenzinger builds sounding machines with which one can dance or play; Kiran Kumar is a dancer and Bnaya Halperin-Kaddari an experimental musician. We think that there is a lot of potential in this conversation between the different media and would like to explore it in a focused way over the course of several days. As part of the workshop, students will be invited to interact, dance and play with our sounding sculptures and a public performance will conclude the workshop.”
