Which discourse, which forms and possibilities of analysis can these publication projects offer today?
The guests will offer various perspectives on the publication practice in Europe and the Middle East. The analysis of the archive material (98weeks; Archive Books), the performativity of a magazine or a text (Mounira el Solh; Marwa Arsanios), thoughts on the temporaryness of reading in relation to knowledge production (Ghalya Saadawi) or re-thinking the strategies of circulation and distribution (Eva Weimayr, Judith Raum) – Alternative Readings relates different approaches of publications to their cultural and social context.
