The film “STRAUB” by our former fellow Stefan Hayn will be presented on screen in April 2015.
»Under the blanket she whispered in his ear that there are things, which are so vast, insomuch vast that they become invisible. Or vice versa: things, which are so close, insomuch close that they will stay forever beyond our perception and stay mysterious like the galactic Bull. (…) When the earth shakes and shakes over and over until the end of time, then, she whispered in his ear, the Great Bull is responsible for that.« (Malek Alloula, 1937 – 17.2.2015)
“STRAUB” (D 2006-2014, 72 min) is an artistic-cinematic and musical reflection on the work of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet, on the films and the personal encounters. The Arsenal shows as a programme picture Stefan Hayn’s first film “PISSEN” (1989). The film will be followed by a discussion between the audience and Bert Rebhandl.
