We are happy to announce that our alumna Judith Seng will live and work at the Villa Kamogawa (Goethe Institute) in Kyoto from April 2016 in the frame of a three-month residency.

During her stay at the Villa Kamogawa, Judith Seng develops in analysis of the traditional tea ceremony and Japenese craftsmanship a production experiment. In the ceremony, which is repeated on a daily basis, objects are produced. The result of this public and videotaped “product-ceremony” are objects that examine through their particular production conditions the field between ceremony and ritual as well as production and design of common action processes.
