Intercultural Mentoring

What is it?

The Intercultural Mentoring (IKM) is a mentoring programme specifically for non-German students who are studying in their 1st or 2nd semester at UdK Berlin.

Small groups of new students (mentees) are assigned a qualified student mentor to help you at the beginning of your studies. They support you with social networking and language integration and offer regular joint activities.

For participation in the Intercultural Mentoring Programme, BA students receive 4 ECTS credits in the Studium Generale.

Why IKM?

This is what former mentees of the Intercultural Mentoring programme say:

"I would definitely recommend it. Without it, it would have taken me 5 years to understand how the university and life in Berlin works."
