Doerthe Maria Sandmann, Voice Training

The Berlin based soprano Doerthe Maria Sandmann studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" with Prof. Renate Krahmer and graduated with distinction in opera and concert singing. She took part in masterclasses with Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Eberhard Büchner and Barbara Schlick. Her collaboration with harpsichordist Armin Thalheim and the Lautten Compagney Berlin led her to discover her emotional and vocal inclination toward the repertoire of "Early Music".
Ms Sandmann has performed at a great many international festivals, such as in Salzburg, Vienna, Graz, Ansbach, Frankfurt, Schwetzingen, Halle, Dresden, Potsdam, Würzburg, Bayreuth, as well as in Milano, Utrecht, Amsterdam and Singapur. Her repertoire ranges from operas of Mozart, Haydn, Händel and Hasse to cantatas and oratorios from Monteverdi to Mendelsohn.
She loves chamber music performances with Baroque music as well as with programs of Lieder.
Doerthe Maria Sandmann offers singing workshops and has been teaching at the Institute for Early Music of the UdK Berlin since 2005. A range of CD- recordings shows her artistic work.
