Selection Process & Decision
The Curatorial Board will make decisions regarding funding for the submitted courses and projects based on the written application and a project presentation/selection interview. The project presentations/selection interviews are tentatively scheduled for June 12th and 13th 2026.
The project selection will be announced by the end of June 2026.
How are projects selected?
Contribution to interdisciplinary teaching, artistic practice, and research
Projects are selected based on their contribution to interdisciplinary research and artistic practice, teaching and learning concepts, feasibility within a single semester, and sustainability following the project’s completion. The Curatorial Board makes decisions in consultation with the project leadership and consists of faculty members and students from UdK Berlin.
Evaluation and Documentation
A necessary precondition for funding from INTER is that the project will be evaluated by the participants, with a focus on the quality of the project work, feasibility of the study, workflow, and personal learning gains.
Diversity of social and cultural experiences and forms of knowledge
INTER is committed to the principles set forth in the UdK’s Critical Diversity Policy and expects the same from the projects it supports.
UdK Berlin raises awareness among its members and protects them from discrimination and exclusion. Discrimination is counteracted and its occurrence is prevented. Conditions are created to ensure that the existing diversity of social and cultural experiences and forms of knowledge is reflected at the UdK Berlin. Critical Diversity Policy – Universität der Künste Berlin.
Sustainability Focus
The project will be assessed for its environmental impact and sustainability. In addition to a cost estimate, a sustainability assessment covering travel, partnerships, and materials is required for the application.
