Designer and Creative Pattern Maker Jutta Klingel started out at Bernhard Willhelm in 2001 in Antwerp progressing into an essential role as Head of Atelier, Senior Designer and Creative Pattern Maker. During her fourteen years working with the brand in Paris and later in Los Angeles, Mexico and Tokyo, she developed, in collaboration with Mr. Willhelm, a distinctive pattern design language which remains the brand’s foundation and had a major influence on parts of the fashion industry.
She also closely cooperated with the brand on many commission projects such as the costumes for Björk’s Volta Tour in 2007.
Until recent Jutta has been holding the position as Head of Creative Development at the avantgarde label Ottolinger, Berlin/ Germany.
Teaching at various international Universities and Art Schools since 2015, Jutta has had several Visiting Artist and Guest Professorship appointments in Fashion Design such as at SAIC School of the Art Institute of Chicago 2018/19 and the University of Arts and Design in Halle in 2020/2021. Currently she is part of The New School/ Parsons Paris.
