What do I wear when things get serious? Between a post-student career launch and a wardrobe crisis, my project creates garments that, with their transformative nature, act as a mediator in life transitions of emerging adults. Traditional fashion hierarchies and expectations in the professional world are questioned with compromises between individuality and convention. Shape and material bridge the nostalgic attachment to a student identity and the brave steps towards professional development. An ode to the lecture hall and a warm welcome to the meeting room.
