About
Lazy love stories written for humans lack the disruptive potential we want to provoke. Put pleasure first. Lick yourself into a new fantasy and allow new love stories to emerge about how we relate to our surroundings through alternative love stories. Together, we will question and cultivate the ways we understand care, attachment, and intimacy. To build these coalitions in tangible ways, the seminar focuses on creating short video works (e-spots) and spatial narratives. Using 3D scans of our bodies alongside buildings, plants, surfaces, and other-than-human bodies, participants will explore new ways of constructing relationships through digital media. The seminar begins by expanding our frame of reference and deepening our understanding of love as a concept and the many stories it can generate. As part of this process, participants will attend the festival Love Is a Verb (16–18 October 2026). Through artistic, performative, and discursive formats, the festival examines the impact of global crises on relationships and investigates love as both an intimate and collective force. As part of the programme, participants will, for example, watch Playing with Fire by Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens, take part in talks, and attend additional festival events. Following the festival, students will participate in a writing workshop led by author and theater artist lynn t musiol, their practice explores the intersections of queer ecology, interdisciplinary collaboration, and queer creative writing. The workshop will provide participants with tools for developing new narratives, and will take place 7th to 8th November. The final phase of the seminar focuses on producing short video works (e-spots). Drawing on experiences from the festival and the narratives developed during the writing workshop, participants will create speculative audiovisual works that imagine new forms of intimacy, care, and relationality. The seminar concludes with a public presentation of the video works, taking place from 4–8 January 2027.

Fulfilment criteria for ungraded accreditation
active and regular participation as well as a 1 minute video for 3 ECTS and a 5 min video for 5 ECTS
As a bachelor's student at HZT, will this seminar fulfill the criteria for modules; 5, 6, 10, 11, and 12. For MA Architecture students of UdK Berlin, this seminar fulfill the criteria for module 05. Other students from Udk are warmly encouraged to apply for this course. We will subsequently collaborate with your programme coordinator to determine how the seminar can meet the requirements of your respective modules.
