In the spirit of "ThereIsMoreThanOneWayToDoIt" we will take time to listen to pieces by a range of artists that use loudspeakers in different ways, such as Maryanne Amacher, Natasha Barrett, Magdalena Długosz, Gottfried Michael Koenig, Christina Kubisch, Alvin Lucier, Pauline Oliveros, Dick Raaijmakers, David Tudor, and others.

We will listen to, record for, compose for -and compare- different loudspeaker setups, including S4ntp’s unique nontrivial sound system NTSS at UdK’s Medienhaus, and Audio Communication's Ambisonics Dome at the TU.

The course participants will work on exercises and on their own projects, sound tracks and compositions. Goal of the course is to explore the potential of standardized and non-standardized multispeaker setups, and the use of loudspeakers as instruments.

PLEASE NOTE / BITTE BEACHTEN:

for the individual use of the TU-studio it is obgligatory to have participated in a TU-studio-introduction ONCE. THE RESPECTIVE DATES WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON.
