About the Department for Funding and Cooperation

The Department for Funding and Cooperation helps to secure external funds for artistic and scientific projects. Our service provides you with essential knowledge and tools needed for successfully initiating contact and negotiating with funding organisations. We offer you:

  • Advice and support concerning the preparation of proposals, contracts and offers
  • Coordination of proposals, contracts and offers with the parties involved
  • Guidance on university-internal processes in the context of funding applications
  • Overview of planned, approved, finished and concluded projects at the Berlin University of the Arts
  • Regular updates on funding opportunities on our website
  • Bimonthly newsletter with funding opportunities

If you are considering person-related funding or a project-proposal and need advice and support, take a look at the following questions:

Who is entitled to apply for funded programmes?

Our service is directed towards professors, artistic and scientific assistants as well as non-academic staff of the Berlin University of the Arts. Students are kindly requested to approach the Career & Transfer Service Center and to take a look at funding opportunities for students at Berlin University of the Arts.

How do I access the service section for employees of Berlin University of the Arts?

You can access our internal service section with your personal Berlin University of the Arts user login data (OASe or Intranet). Please use your assigned user name and password. Do not hesitate to contact us via foerdermittel_ @udk-berlin.de if you experience any difficulties.

How to get funded?

The application procedures differ depending on the specific funding organisation. Our service section offers comprehensive information on particular funding opportunities and programmes. We would like to indicate that the Department for Funding and Cooperation requires all documents necessary for your funding-proposal about six weeks (30 working days) before the specified deadline and ask you to notify your faculty administration about your project as early as possible. The service area provides the necessary forms and illustrates the procedure for a third-party funding or cooperation project at the UdK Berlin step by step. Please understand that applications submitted late for funding can only be accepted under reservation, since internal processes of coordination, examination and approval by the university management and administration will take the above-mentioned period.
