If you are considering person-related funding or a project-proposal and need advice and support, take a look at the following questions:

Who is entitled to apply for funded programmes?

Our service is directed towards professors, artistic and scientific assistants as well as non-academic staff of the Berlin University of the Arts. Students are kindly requested to approach the Career & Transfer Service Center and to take a look at funding opportunities for students at Berlin University of the Arts.

How do I access the service section for employees of Berlin University of the Arts?

You can access our internal service section with your personal Berlin University of the Arts user login data (OASe or Intranet). Please use your assigned user name and password. Do not hesitate to contact us via foerdermittel_ @udk-berlin.de if you experience any difficulties.

What kind of funds are available?

Funding enables you to implement artistic or scientific projects, giving a new impetus to the university's fields of research, development and teaching. Not only large-scale objectives can get support, also smaller purposes and projects can be realised by third-party funding.

How to get funded?

The application procedures differ depending on the specific funding organisation. Our service section offers comprehensive information on particular funding opportunities and programmes.  We would like to indicate that the Office of Funded Programmes and Corporate Relations requires all documents necessary for your funding-proposal about three weeks (15 working days) before the specified deadline. Please understand that applications submitted late for funding can only be accepted under reservation, since internal processes of coordination, examination and approval by the university management and administration will take the above-mentioned period.

Where to get support and advice?

Third-party funding is generally based on an application or individual offer. We kindly request you to get in touch with the Office of Funded Programmes and Corporate Relations at an early stage, leaving enough time for the coordination and approval of the proposal or contract with all parties involved. We will be pleased to advise and support you in all issues regarding the applicable processes.

Why is funding important?

Acquisition of funding will grow in importance for the development of interdisciplinary potentials in the fields of studies, teaching, research and further education. Generating third-party funds still is and will be crucial to finance universities. At an interdisciplinary level the university needs to foster external relationships and build valuable networks for students as well as academics.
