Effective intercultural communication skills for a successful career in Germany - Part 2
This is part two of the two-part communication workshop. The workshops can be booked independently of each other. This training focusses on non-violent communication, conflict resolution tools and the ability to give good and appreciative feedback.
Whether during your studies, in an internship, or at work: Communication is an essential skill that can be trained, practiced, deepened, and improved! In this training, we focus on developing strong communication abilities, particularly in international job settings.
Participants will learn how to express themselves clearly, listen actively, and adapt their communication styles to different cultural contexts. Effective communication is key to building strong professional relationships and thriving in a global work environment.
In the training, participants will develop an individual personal brand by identifying personal achievements and talents through feedback sessions and reflection processes. Who am I and how do I want to be perceived? In this workshop, we also explore the tension between identity and external perception through various exercises. Using methods like “Career Storytelling” participants will craft their unique story, based on the pillars of “Career/Skills - Mission/Vision - Passion”. In role-playing exercises, participants will learn to convey their story confidently and effectively, gaining clarity on what they want to communicate publicly and what to keep private.
Additionally, participants will practice authentic self-presentation in both small and larger group settings, helping them build confidence in public speaking and presenting themselves effectively. They will learn to communicate their skills clearly and confidently, ensuring potential employers to recognize their full potential.
Goals: This workshop is specifically designed to help international students successfully integrate into the German job market by equipping them with the communicative skills needed to confidently showcase their talents and convince potential employers of their abilities.
