Curriculum Vitae

Born in 1997, Hani Song has played the violin since the age of three. She is currently doing the Master of Music, studying with Prof. Mi-Kyung Lee at the University of Music. Before, she was taught i.a. by Prof. Andreas Janke, Prof. Jörg Hofmann and Philip Draganov and attended master classes amongst others with Nora Chastain, Igor Ozim, Julia Fischer and Stephan Picard.
She has won several prizes in competitions, including 1st prize and special prize at the International Marschner Competition, 1st prize with full marks at the Swiss Youth Music Competition and 2nd prize at the Lions Music Competition.
Hani Song has performed with orchestras as a soloist including the Orchestra della Magna Grecia, the Orquesta Experimental de Repertorio, the Bavarian Philharmonic and the Academic Orchestra of Zurich in cities like Sao Paulo, St. Petersburg, Vienna, Hamburg, Munich, Florence and Zurich.
Hani also plays chamber music in diverse formations. 2013-2015, she served as concertmaster of the Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra and went on concert tours to Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea and Italy. In 2017, she played with the Verbier Festival Orchestra under the baton of conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Sir Antonio Pappano, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Daniel Harding.
The Lyra, the Fritz Gerber and the Friedl Wald Foundations have kindly granted Hani Song scholarships over several years. Two documentaries were filmed by the Swiss National Television about her which were broadcasted internationally.
