The exhibition "Cyborg Futures" opens Friday, July 22 at 5pm for UdK Berlin Rundgang with works by:

"Today's rapid developments in AI, robotics and science are transforming humans into machines and vice versa. Not only are we creating more and more human-like robots, but we are also trying to overcome the limitations of our perishable bodies with the help of technological upgrades.

More recently, the cyborg has been used in parts of the social sciences, including feminist theory, as a tool for understanding a world that is considered relatively incoherent at both the individual and collective levels, and yet is marked by systematic inequalities. In this incarnation, the cyborg becomes a hybrid figure that is only partially coherent. It blurs the line between reality and fiction and thus functions as a vehicle for radical political agendas.
