„INTERVENTION M 21: Am Humboldtstrom – Sammeln im 19. Jahrhundert” ist ein experimentelles Studienprojekt gewesen, und eine Kooperation zwischen den Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin und der Universität der Künste Berlin, Institut für Kunst im Kontext, gefördert durch den Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien.
Das Projekt widmet sich der Kontextualisierung vom Modul 21 im Humboldt Forum bzw. der Ausstellung “Am Humboldtstrom”, wurde von Dr. Manuela Fischer, Kuratorin, SMB, initiiert und von Kristina Leko, Künstlerin/Lehrende, IfKiK/UdK, künstlerisch geleitet.
Im Rahmen des Studienprojekts fanden über zweieinhalb Jahre Lehrveranstaltungen, Workshops, Vorträge, Performances, Aktionen, Proteste, Begegnungen und Interventionen im öffentlichen, sozialen und medialen Raum statt. Daraus sind fünf künstlerische Positionen entstanden, die in einer Videocollage dokumentiert nun in der Dauerausstellung „Am Humboldtstrom“ zu sehen sind. Eine Petition zur Repatriierung der in der Ausstellung gezeigten Mumie ist ebenfalls Teil der Intervention Decolonize M21 (zu unterzeichnen unter dem Link).
Zur Eröffnung wird
am Samstag, den 16.09.2022 um 21 Uhr
eine Lecture-Performance veranstaltet:
„Drei Versuche, lateinamerikanische Sammlungen in Frage zu stellen“
von und mit Beatriz Rodríguez Flores, Natalia Rodríguez Ramírez und Alejandra Alarcón Bautista.

"INTERVENTION M 21: Am Humboldtstrom - Collecting in the 19th Century" has been an experimental study project, and a cooperation between the Berlin State Museums and the Berlin University of the Arts, Institute for Art in Context, supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
The project is concerned with the contextualization of Module 21 in the Humboldt Forum and the exhibition "Am Humboldtstrom," respectively. It was initiated by Dr. Manuela Fischer, curator, SMB, and artistically directed by Kristina Leko, artist/lecturer, IfKiK/UdK.
Within the framework of the study project, seminars, workshops, lectures, performances, actions, protests, encounters and interventions in public, social and media space took place over a period of two and a half years. As a result, five artistic positions emerged, which are documented in a video collage and can now be seen within the exhibition „Am Humboldtstrom“ in the permanent display. Furthermore, a petition for the repatriation of the mummy featured in the show is part of the intervention Decolonize M21 (to sign under the link below).
The opening will be accompanied by a lecture-performance on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2022 at 9 p.m.: "Three Attempts to Question Latin American Collections" by and with Beatriz Rodríguez Flores, Natalia Rodríguez Ramírez and Alejandra Alarcón Bautista.
