AR TALKS #3

Artists at Risk (AR) is pleased to invite you to the third round of decentralized series of AR TALKS, a program which introduces to a wider audience artists, curators, and cultural professionals hosted by AR-Residences, or affiliated with the Artists at Risk (AR) Network. It follows in the footsteps of our longstanding MOBILE Talks series. This summer, the program picks up in Berlin at Floating University where every Thursday, we will gather to discuss the risks and challenges art practitioners at risk face in our troubled times.

In the third AR TALK on Thursday August 11, Hamed Soleimanzadeh will discuss the phenomenon of Iran’s poetic cinema and its tool to talk about social political issues through films. The talk will also be focusing on the challenges before and after Islamic revolution in Iran.

The event is kindly hosted in cooperation with Floating University, a self organized space and group, where practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds meet to collaborate, co-create and imaginatively work towards futures. Its mission is to open, maintain, and take care of this unique site while bringing non-disciplinary, radical, and collaborative programs to the public.

The program of these initial AR TALKS is conceived and moderated by @giorgi.rodionov an artist and curator, and co-founder of Artists at Risk (AR)-Tbilisi at the Untitled Gallery @untitled.tbilisi.
