Marcel Haupt is a Berlin based media artist and designer. He graduated with an M.A. from Berlin University of the Arts as a student of Prof. Joachim Sauter's new media class (digitale Klasse) in 2019. His artistic work mainly focuses on interactive and generative pieces often exploring current sociological themes. Also an active musician and composer, he is researching and working on artistic approaches to interactive, analogue audio visualisations.

He is currently part of the medienhaus/ team, researching and prototyping open-source, decentralised and federated networks as an alternative to data capitalist systems.

He joined the project InKüLe - Innovationen für die künstlerische Lehre at the Berlin University of the Arts in 2021 within the context of experimental coding.
