For most of human history, art, healing, and knowledge were not separate domains. Medicine was a healing art. Art was a way of knowing.
Today, these fields are often divided: science framed as evidence, art framed as experience.
The Healing Arts revisits this separation.
Building on previous editions, the series continues as a collaboration between the International Society for Arts and Medicine (ISfAM), the Arts and Medicine Network at Charité, and the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK).
Across four curated sessions, artists, clinicians, and researchers come together to explore a shared question:
What becomes possible when different ways of knowing meet?
The series approaches art not as decoration or therapy, but as a practice of attention — one that can deepen perception, expand understanding, and reshape how we think about care.
