The new "Fit für die Künste"-programme will take place from 13 September to 9 October 2023.

You will find the detailed programme as a PDF file as well as a short overview below.

Good to know: If you are admitted to a degree programme at UdK Berlin you will be credited with ECTS points for your participation as part of the Studium Generale (at least 30 teaching units incl. personal work).The ECTS points are indicated for each workshop. For the events on 13, 14, 25, 26 September and 9 October, 0.5 to 1 ECTS can be awarded depending on participation.

Our lecturers

Dr. Mutlu Ergün-Hamaz is an author, researcher and policy advisor at the German Institute for Human
Rights, 2022/23 he worked as the diversity & anti-discrimination manager at the University of Arts
Berlin. Since 2001, Ergün-Hamaz has been a member of the anti-racist NGO Phoenix e.V. and works as
White-Awareness and Empowerment trainer. His research focuses on racialisation and empowerment
in Germany. Ergün-Hamaz received his PhD from the London School of Economics, Sociology
Department in 2021.

Dr. Jessica Haß has been a research assistant at the Institute for Theory and Practice of Communication
at UdK Berlin since 2013. She completed her PhD on intercultural communication and stereotypes in
2019.

Lorenz Hippe is an author, playwright and theater educator with many years of theater experience. His
plays have been and are being performed at numerous theaters. As a lecturer for theater pedagogy
and scenic writing he teaches at universities and educational institutions. In theater and writing
workshops he often works with participants with other mother tongues. In 2011 his handbook "Und
was kommt jetzt? Scenic Writing in Theater Pedagogical Practice."

Danila Linzke studied music at UdK Berlin. From 2013 to 2020, she worked as a mentor in the
Intercultural Mentoring Team at UdK Berlin and supported international students, especially those
studying music, in study-related writing projects in the Intercultural Office Hours. Since completing her
studies, she has worked at the University of Potsdam and as a freelance lecturer at UdK Berlin, among
others.

Dr. Silvia Mazzini is a research assistant in aesthetics at the IDSVA PhD programme for artists. As a
freelance playwright and author, she experiments with hybrid exchanges between public issues and
academic discourses. She writes, researches and teaches on theories and practices of poverty and
abstinence.

Meltem Nil is a certified and experienced teacher of German as a foreign language and a professional
artist at the same time. She studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and expanded her
artistic expression through contemporary dance and improvisation. In stage improvisation, she sees
interfaces between visual and performing arts, performance and acting.

Kristin Seebeck studied art history, sociology and social psychology at the Ruhr-University Bochum
(M.A.) and is a certified teacher of German as a foreign language. She worked abroad for several years,
including in the editorial department of a Swiss cultural magazine and as a lecturer for German as a
foreign language in Jordan.
