One of Europe’s most radical artists of the past decade, Tanja Ostojić discusses her projects concerning the sexualisation of borders and Europe as a post-socialist space. Following the lecture, the artist will be joined by the ECONOMY curators for a discussion with the audience and will later on as well pay studio visits to the art school students.

The Art & Economics Group, established in Berlin in 2007 by Tanja Ostojic,David Rych and Dmytri Kleiner, investigates the intersection of art and political economy. For the first two years Project Room 35 and Wooloo Productions Berlin regularly hosted Art & Economics Group Quarterly Forums. After a break due to the economic recession and the closure of those two art spaces, Quarterly Forums have since 2010 been hosted by the Museum of American Art Berlin and other different venues. Between the guests were: former artist Goran Djordjevic, Fran Ilich for Diego de La Wega, Alex Nikolic from Slum TV, Diego Castro etc.

The program of the Quarterly Forums include: quarterly report, guest of the evening, discussion and the auction of special edition of Art-Bonds designed by the guest of the evening. Topics include political economy as a theme in art, the economics of art production and economic activity asan action based art practice. This will be the first quarterly discussions held this year, and the first ever in Scotland. Our guest of the eveningBill Drummond is going to present some of his amassing works.

Scottish artist Bill Drummond (1953) (one of the most radical artists of all times) has used various media in his practice including actions, music and words. His actions are too numerous to list, some more infamous than the others; his music from the multi million selling KLF to the choral music of The17; the words have accumulated into a pile of books.
