,,Analog und Digital'' sind grundlegende Konzepte für die Erstellung technischer Bilder. Das Ziel von OpenCelluloid ist es, das analoge Bewegtbild in seinen Bestandteilen aufzudecken um es schließlich in ein digitales Framework integrieren zu können. Mit Hilfe von Mikrocontrollern, Mechatronik, Programmierung und verschiedenen anderen Disziplinen soll das Seminar alle Schritte durchlaufen, die für die Übersetzung von analogen Filmen in digitale Bilder erforderlich sind, und darüber hinaus Anregungen geben, wie diese Interaktionen kreativ genutzt werden können. 

Dieses Seminar wird auch sehr empfohlen für Teilnehmer*innen des 16 mm Kamera- Seminars von Till Beckmann.

Analog and digital are foundational concepts when it comes to the production of technical images. The goal of OpenCelluloid is to open the medium of analog moving image and expose its fundamental parts to incorporate them within a digital framework. With the help of microcontrollers, mechatronics, programming and several other disciplines, the scope of the seminar is to go through the steps necessary for the translation of analog film into digital images, and from then on, to think on how this interaction could be exploited creatively. 

This seminar is also very recommended for participants of the 16 mm Film seminar of Till Beckmann.
