Your Project Management Compass is a two-part intensive workshop by Cassandra Schwermer connecting artistic research, creative project development, and professional project management. The two workshop blocks build upon each other while each offering participants the opportunity to independently develop and realize their own project proposal.
In Part I, participants develop an artistic or cultural idea into a research-based project proposal. The focus is on contextual research, references, concept development, target groups, production conditions, and the visual mapping of the creative process.
Part II introduces a new, independently developed project proposal, allowing participants to apply and deepen the methods explored in the first block. Particular attention is given to planning, budgeting, timelines, roles and responsibilities, communication, collaboration, and professional presentation. Working with two independent project ideas enables participants to test different approaches, formats, and strategies.
The workshop combines artistic intuition with structural, economic, and collaborative thinking. Visual tools such as process maps, mood boards, timelines, production diagrams, and workflows help make complex creative processes transparent, comprehensible, and professionally communicable. The workshop also explores possibilities of co-creation with artificial intelligence in research, planning, and creative development processes.
The workshop aims to strengthen participants in developing, communicating, and realizing their own artistic projects with clarity, independence, professional confidence, and creative sovereignty. Each workshop block results in an independently developed, visually traceable, and presentation-ready project proposal.

Leistungsanforderungen für den unbenoteten Schein: regelmäßige aktive Teilnahme; Entwicklung eines eigenen Projektvorschlags mit Präsentation im Kurs; drei bis vier A4-Seiten Schriftgröße 11 Arial, 1,5 Zeilen Abstand schriftliche Reflexion zum eigenen Prozess.

Cassandra Schwermer is known as interdisciplinary artist, project developer, author, director, and composer/musician, and Artistic Director of Atelier GET INTO PLAY Berlin, where she conducts transdisciplinary research and develops projects at the intersection of visual arts, performing arts, dance, music, education, and society. At the core of her practice is the playful human being (Homo Ludens) as a driving force for creative, participatory, and collaborative processes. Since 2015, following several stays abroad, transculturality and intersectionality have become defining elements of her professional practice. Her ongoing practice also includes continuous work with artificial intelligence as a tool for artistic co-creation, research, and planning processes, exploring new forms of collaboration between human creativity, artistic practice, and emerging technologies.
