García is the author of the trilogy of films united under the title _Amor Rojo _(Red Love), which explore the history and the contemporary legacy of one of the major feminist and communist thinkers and activists, Alexandra Kollontai. The trilogy is based on García's 8-year long research of archives in Moscow and Mexico City, where Kollontai served as the Soviet ambassador, and brings her work in relation to contemporary feminist and LGBTQ struggles.
