JARDINS D’AMIS : UNE ATMOSPHERE. Aus dem Gartenlabor der Caroline Bittermann
Artistic research at BAS takes place in inter- and transdisciplinary projects. At the interfaces between the arts and sciences, we develop new research fields and methods across universities that critically reflect and rethink the standards of their participating disciplines. Practical and theoretical basic research in and through the arts provides a framework for other, expanding, complementary forms of knowledge that question established orders of knowledge and have the potential to transform them. By anchoring itself in the living environment, society, the arts and sciences, artistic research mediates between areas that appear to be opposed to or independent of each other, thereby opening up new perspectives on the complexity of the world and possibilities for action in it.
