Programmes- Are there currently special programmes at UdK Berlin?

Below you will find various programmes for students applicants at risk at the UdK Berlin:

  • Access Art Schools Berlin - a study preparatory programme

    The programme is aimed at prospective students with refugee experience who would like to start an artistic-scientific degree course at a Berlin Art School and already have some knowledge of German.

    The courses take place in person and consist of a German course, study skills workshops and the Beyond German programme (presentation techniques and voice training).

  • "How to Study at UdK Berlin".
    These workshops gives information on application and specific programmes at UdK Berlin to prospective students, students and artists at risk. More information on registration and the topics can be found in the beginning of this page.

  • Common Ground: The student initiative promotes networking between students and people in exile. Participants can find out whether studying at the UdK is an option for them. The main activities include the workshop series "How to Study" and the mentoring programme "Common Ground Studio". You can find more information here.

  • German language skills are required for most degree programmes at the UdK Berlin. Information on the required language level can be found here.
    Some degree programmes are offered in English (Master Solo/Dance/Authorship, Master Sound Studies and Sonic Arts, Master Jazz, Meisterschüler*in Kunst und Medien).

    If you already have a basic knowledge of German, you can also easily take an OnSET placement test at one of the Berlin test centres. Please note that the OnSET test is only accepted for applications.
