The "do what you want" studio has been in existence for several years. With this format, we aim to promote and explore experimental ideas and working methods.

In the studio “Porous Architecture – Becoming Soil” we delve into the interactions between the human, the non-human and their habitats questing to broaden our understanding of the multifaceted perspectives on the ground, the soil and the earth.

For a week, participants are invited to reside in ExSA - former prison and monastery in Bergamo, Italy - to conceive ways to actively occupy this urban common through design.

In the design project "designing for the more than human" we look at the floating University as a case study. We aim at designing support structures for other ways of being together on a damaged planet.

This semester we approach a specific context: the public space on and around Mehringplatz in Berlin Kreuzberg. A collective "Body of Work" will be produced, which makes new forms of collective action visible.

In this project we continue our collaboration with lokalbau, develop a deeper understanding of urban transformation processes and how to place ourselves within those as spatial practitioners.

How can architecture function as a support structure for learning? How does one deal with the spatial, social and cultural stock in Neuroofen and with which materials in interaction with existing nature is sufficiency spatially manifested?

Experimental teaching and educational formats will be developed, tested and evaluated horizontally together with learners and educators of architecture and urban planning, refugees, and civil society initiatives.

A design project for hybrid buildings with communal living, recreational uses and work in complicated inner-city locations. The project is offered in cooperation with Lokalbau Berlin.
